APF APF 8/17/2006
This important breakfast will include a “state of public safety” address where Atlanta Police Chief Richard Pennington will give an annual report on crime in this city. He will also lay out current goals and objectives for improvement as we continue this unprecedented momentum in crime reduction while also effectively changing the perception of crime in Atlanta.
The 2006 Crime is Toast breakfast will also be a celebration of the success of the Campaign for a Safer City. Atlanta Police Foundation President and CEO Dave Wilkinson will outline the six (6) components of the $3.75 million campaign designed to make an immediate impact to the safety and security of our city as we establish the necessary programs certain to address crime prevention and emergency preparedness.
The Crime is Toast breakfast will recognize the achievements and courageous actions of some of Atlanta’s finest officers and citizens. The awards ceremony and tribute to the men and women in blue is a very moving experience for the business and community leaders in attendance as well as a significant morale boost for the officers.
We expect over 1,200 guests and police officers in attendance. Please join the Atlanta Police Foundation as we celebrate the accomplishments of the Atlanta Police Department and learn the real facts about safety and security in Atlanta. Please call Cynthia Williams at 404.586.0180 for sponsorship and tickets.
